Christmas 2010

Christmas is always fun at our house. Things were a little different this year, my mom and step-dad were in Hawaii so they wouldn't be joining us, but Jeannie (my step-sister), Luis (her husband) and Chris (my step-brother) would be here for dinner. We also invited the missionaries to join us for dinner. We all got up about 6:45 to open presents.
Jim got a new drill that he needed, Julia and I got some clothes, Jamie got an amp for her new guitar, Alyson got the set of books and piano music she wanted, and Amelia got music and lots of Nutella (she had it three times on her list). I also knit each of the girls a pair of socks. They were fun to make. It was a nice lazy day until we had to start cooking. We ate tri-tip, mashed potatoes, broccoli, green beans, salad, and all our cookies and goodies for dessert. We opened gifts with Jeannie, Luis, and Chris and somehow they always find the right things for everyone. Jamie got a Slanket and a cute panda bear beanie, Julia got jewelry, Amelia got a leather bound journal, and Alyson got a book about writing stories. We also got Rock Band from them. I'm not sure where we will store all the pieces, but everyone had a great time playing. It was a great day to celebrate the gift of our Savior with family and friends!
