Jersey Girl

Well it is official. Jamie will be serving an 18 month mission for our church in the New Jersey Morristown Mission. She will leave April 17th. She is really excited. It doesn't appear to be too far from New York and it includes Ellis Island, Princeton, and Trenton. I don't really know too much about New Jersey, but they were hit hard by Hurricane Sandy recently. I guess my knowledge of the state will increase as she shares her experiences with us.
Technology is so great. We all were together (most of us) as she opened her letter. Grandma Sharon, Grandpa Rich, Amelia and I were on Skype with Jamie (and her friends) on Jim's computer, Julia was on Skype with my laptop, Jim was on Facetime on his Ipod (he is on a business trip in Florida) with Alyson on her Ipod, Alyson was on Skype on her computer with Jamie's roommates computer, Aunt Suzanne's family was on my cell phone, and Jamie had Grandma Lois and Grandpa Chuck on her cell phone. And we covered every time zone on the continental US - California, Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Texas, and Florida. What would we do without these great inventions keeping families connected? We love you Jamie!

You need to draw a diagram of this configuration! Our family does this type of stuff too. I am thinking we should just pay the fee so we can have multiple people all skyping together. Or try the google thing.
