Go Lumberjacks!

Julia, my mom and I took a trip to Flagstaff, Arizona over the weekend for Julia to attend a transfer student orientation. She is very frustrated because she was only accepted to one Cal State school (Chico which she really didn't want to go to) so she applied to Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. She was accepted there and decided to take a look at it. We left early Friday morning She didn't enjoy the 7 hour drive there (she has always hated riding in a car), but liked the town. They have everything (including Target and Wal-mart - which she didn't have in San Luis). We looked at a couple of apartments because the on campus housing is all full. She found a place she really likes near the dome, but now she has to find roommates. Saturday morning we went to the school and sat through presentations and walked around the campus for most of the day. The weather was cool, the sun was warm, but the wind was cold. There was still snow on the peaks nearby. By the end of the day she decided she really liked it there and Grandma Sharon bought her a NAU sweatshirt. We really had a fun time walking around the old town area and looking in the cute shops and art galleries. We left Sunday morning to head back after taking a few more pictures of the beautiful old buildings on campus. Julia set the timer on Grandma's camera to get a picture of all of us (it is a little crooked-sorry didn't fix it on photoshop yet).
Now Julia is stressed about her classes transferring and being able to graduate in two years (we have to pay out of state tuition-Ouch!). Thanks Grandma Sharon for a wonderful weekend together!
