On Saturday Jim, my mom, Alyson, and I went with Amelia to her first music festival. Her teacher usually doesn't send his Beginning Strings class to festivals, but he felt this group was ready. We were excited to see Amelia stand up as the 1st chair violin and tune the rest of the group. (Those violin lessons must be paying off!) They sounded so good! It's hard to believe they have only been playing since September. It is nice that she gets to play with a lot of her friends too. They received unanimous Superiors and were really excited about it. I really am glad that Amelia is enjoying music so much. Sometimes I wish I had learned to play more instruments.
